HANDY products use germ-killing UV-C light which only interacts with the outer layer of dead skin.

The human body has 3 basic layers of skin. The epidermis, the outermost layer of dead skin provides a waterproof barrier and protects us from the environment and the sun's harmful UV rays.

The dermis layers beneath the epidermis, contains tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands.

The deeper subcutaneous tissue (hypodermis) is made of fat and connective tissue. (see related Medical News Today article)

All HANDY products meet the permissible safety regulation for UV-C light exposure with 3600uW (3.6mw) for less than 4 seconds which is regulated by EC Scientific Committees.

HANDY products are not medical devices and were specifically developed to help combat the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic.

HANDY &  KLEAN products are able to sanitise the air in rooms by drawing in contaminated air and expelling sanitised clean air.

Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) = 1 hour per 24m²

Air Sanitising Space by volume*: 1 hour: 16m³, 2 hours: 32m³, 3 hours: 48m³, 4 hours: 64m³

*example room size 4m x 5m x 3m = 60m³
